The Chairman of Board of Directors of our trade union, Mr. Halit Narin Isparta spoke to the Students:
The Young People Shall Enhance the Efficiency of
the Government"

Mr. Halit Narin, the chairman of the board of directors of our trade union, has given a lecture at Suleyman Demirel University and answered the questions of the students. Having found the opportunity to speak to the students during his visit to Isparta which included participation of the members of the board of directors, Halit Narin said; "People who are not aware of the young potential and the richness of manpower in Turkey render Turkey permanently dependent on the outer powers. You will enhance the low efficiency of the government."

In his speech, Narin has emphasized that Turkey is not a poor country and added that he believes Turkish people are a large mass who count on their land, flag and nation and their future, and said; " The biggest value of Turkey is the human resource and the energetic characteristic. You go to Greece, Iran, Russia, and you never see such a nation that invests on its future so enthusiastically in any of those countries. You cannot find another society that makes an investment in its country from the future earnings and wants to be proud of such investment and to develop and make progress with that investment. There is no other community that invests on its nation and land like us. The only poor aspect of this community is its politicians. The politician should have a structure that embraces all the considerations of this criterion and advances it.

Narin has drawn attention to the fact that the politician should not hinder the entrepreneur, and he said; "We want the politician to give service to the entrepreneur and not to investigate the entrepreneur after such service." Having given advices to the students, Narin also said; When you become in charge of the work, be sure of the work you performed. Believe in what you do, think well of the future of the work you perform.

As Ataturk has said, you will say 'Turk, be proud, work and trust". The thing you will be proud of is dependent on working and believing in what you do."

Halit Narin, the Chairman of Board of Directors of Our Trade Union, has answered the questions in "Those In Agenda" program that he participated in TV-8:
Turkey flies when bureaucracy is beside us

Narin has pointed out that the biggest obstacle for Turkish economy is bureaucracy. Narin said: 'The entire problem arises from the fact that bureaucracy questions registered people. If the budget shows deficit, then add on the tax. Yet, each burden that comes along with tax is adding on the honest registered entrepreneur people. As long as this will be the case, there will always be unregistered people in Turkey. It is unfair to say "poor" to this country. The nation has another kind of poverty."

"For years, everybody said "we're poor, we're poor". And we said to Mr. Ekrem Pakdemirli, "Come on teacher, pick a team and go to Europe to make an on-site research, and compare us with them." Finally, it is found out that the rules of State Institute of Statistics relied on very old systems and did not reflect the truth and that it was too late for them to make a change. And as everyone knows, the purchasing power per person appeared to be 12 thousand USD. Yet, the European Union keeps telling us that we are a poor country and that they cannot give us any money. We are in such a position that we can lend money to the European countries." He added that the income per person appeared to be more than 6 thousand USD according to GNP.
