TÜTSİS' Activities
TÜTSİS, in line with its objectives, conducts
all kinds of dealings and activities and takes
initiatives which the Law of Unions and other
related legislation allows.
The principal dealings, activities
and initiatives are as follows:
1. To conclude collective bargaining agreements,
2. To apply, send representatives, express
opinion to the concerned offices, mediators,
arbitration boards, labor courts or any other
judicial agencies in case of collective labour
conflicts,
3. To file lawsuits concerning the matters
occurred due to working life, legislation, collective
bargaining agreements or custom and usage and
to have the right to sue and to be sued by reason
of the lawsuit filed in this connection,
4. To make lockout decisions, manage and end
the lockouts,
5. To establish a Strike and Lockout Fund and
to make payments from this fund to the members
in the framework of the regulations accepted
by the general assembly,
6. Within the frame of the provisions of the
legislation, to become a member of national
and international organizations related to its
objectives or to participate in their meetings,
to send representatives to the assemblies which
are convened consistent with the provisions
of the laws and international pacts,
7. To organize and participate in the courses,
seminars, conferences, panels, and similar gatherings
concerning the matters such as labor legislation,
employer/employee relations, management, productivity,
human relations, job evaluation and job security,
8. Within the frame of the provisions of the
legislation, to publish periodical or non-periodical
newspapers, magazines, books, etc. related to
its objective,
9. To establish libraries, health and sports
facilities for the members,
10. To conduct all kinds of activities to raise
the professional training, knowledge and experiences
of its members,
11. To be concerned closely with the preparation
and enforcement of social regulations concerning
the issues such as Labor Law, Labor Protection,
and Social Security Law, etc., to communicate
its opinions and ideas regarding the subject,
12. To take regulatory measures for working
conditions in accordance with the economy of
the country and the common interests and to
endeavor to set uniform labour conditions within
the sector,
13. To take initiatives and conduct activities
to settle the possible conflicts that may occur
among the members with the capacity of conciliator
or through an arbitrator,
14. To acquire, sell, rent or lease movable
and immovable properties which are required
by the objectives and subject of the association,
to pawn the movable properties and to mortgage
the immovable properties, to receive and hold
mortgages and pawns on movable and immovable
properties of others, to release when necessary,
to make all kinds of legal disposals on condition
that they are within the frame of the legislation,
15. To conduct surveys or to have surveys made
concerning the issues related to its activities,
16. To help its members at conflicts arising
out of their individual business relations,
17. To provide all kinds of judicial and legal
supports to its members.
